Aldershot & District Traction Company Limited was a major bus company operating services in East Hampshire, West Surrey and parts of adjoining counties for sixty years during the 20th century, from 1912 until 1972 when it became part of Alder Valley.

Description: Black chassis, dark green lower body, cream lower deck window surrounds; pale green upper deck and stairs; pinkish buff seats and between wheels guard rails; 'Aldershot and District' in gold on lower body sides; Schweppes Indian Tonic Water in blue and red or Dunlop tyres in black and yellow on rear of steps to upper deck; white destination board on front of upper deck (Guildford Park Via North St Post Office), with upper deck adverts.

Dunlop Tyres in black and yellow, Schweppes Indian Tonic Water in blue and red or Schweppes Ginger Ale in yellow and brown on rear of steps to upper deck. Another rare possibility is an advert for Read Everybodys Every Week in red and blue on a white label.



Every possibility that the plastic seats and guard rails can be of the different colours and shades of the Matchbox originals, while all my busses have pinkish buff, I have seen dark brown and light brown.

Everybody's Weekly was a British weekly tabloid founded 1913 in London. The publication contained a short story each week, some of which were by Edgar Wallace. H.E.Bates was also a contributor.
